Happy 18th Birthday Brett & a little about the family!

Happy Birthday Brett! I so can't beleive that he is 18 already! Where did that time go?!? It seems he should be running around bouncing off the walls and breaking his nose or some other limb while trying his hardest to give us grey hair. Our "Bert" is no longer "Bert"... To celebrate his special day, we picked up Braylee and the boys & took all the kids to the mall. After the mall, we went to the Outback Steakhouse & had a really yummy dinner and lots of fun. Time just flies though! Sheesh! ><

There's really not much other than that on our home front other than the usual fear of the crappy economy & wondering when the natural gas industry is going to pick up again. John hasn't worked for 3 weeks now so the trip to Idaho for Harold's wedding is looking bleak at this point. =( We just found out that we have to go pick up our camper from Vernal also. The land that is used for camper storage for the workers is on Native American reservation land and they just decided to raise the rent so, the company John's contracted to canceled the lease with them... I'm still doing really well in school and just finished my second quarter with another 4.0 GPA so, I can't complain in that department. =)

Sorry to hear about your knee surgery and wrestling for the year, you're in our prayers. We're so glad that you're out of the hospital and feeling better.

Just thought I'd post a few pics from Christmas morning. Santa brought me a new Fuji camera so of course I had to try it out! I still need to read the destructions so, they're not the best pics but I'll get the hang of it. Santa brought the kids new iPod Chromatics, maybe I'll ask him for one of those for myself next year, LOL! They play video and TV shows as well as music. I don't have any close ups of Braylee, Bryson, or Haydon, the ones I took came out blurry *rolls eyes* told ya I need to figure out this new camera! As soon as I get some of those 3, I'll post them...

Bear Lake, Summer 2008

Here are a few pictures of us at Bear Lake this last summer. It was soooo beautiful the only thing that would have made the trip even better was if Paige had been with us. We had such a great time together still but, the next time we go, EVERYBODY will wear sunblock! We all got so sunburned it wasn't even funny... OUCH!

Paige's 13th birthday

Today is also Paige's 13 birthday. We had a nice steak and shrimp dinner then cake and ice cream. (The cake was chocolate with bright pink roses w/black leaves. She wanted Twilight (of course) but it wasn't available, Narnia Prince Caspian was her 2nd choice which they didn't have either, so she settled for the roses LOL.) We had a good time and it was fun getting to spend the day together as a family with all of us here.

We went and saw Twilight together as a family last night. I usually do like vampires anyways but, I'm gonna have to say that this movie was one of my favorites of any I've ever seen. It was a really awesome show! Lots of action, adventure, romance, comedy, drama, you name it, this movie has it. I was really impressed and will definetly be buying this one on DVD.

Hiya! Just thought I'd give a quick introduction about us, Jbhplewis. We live in Wyoming (well most of us do anyways) We enjoy doing things together as a family such as camping, watching movies, playing video games, and going to the movies. We love Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Twilight. It's nice having things that all of the family can share intrests in, it gives us a lot of things to talk about when we all get together and have lots of fun.

I'm still pretty new to blogging so you'll have to forgive the short posts about random things to talk about LOL! I'm pretty shy so it's kinda hard to me to just sit down and start typing away and look all cool like I know what I'm doing. Well, I can pretend anyways, I'll get better at it, eventually. ><
